Hi there, I’m Katherine...

I am a qualified SENCo and have been a full-time teacher for 10+ years. I've privately tutored for almost as many...

I founded Tutorian with a desire to provide the highest quality educational experiences for learners today.

Bio

My path into teaching started early on when at five years of age my Grandfather built me an A-frame teacher's chalkboard.  It was at this point I knew I would teach and I haven't looked back since...

I am an experienced, highly-motivated, and passionate teacher with a strong commitment to raising standards. I demonstrate consistently accurate assessment data and rapid progress in English and Mathematics as identified by local authority and HMI.

Skilled in providing provision for inclusion for children with SEND and EAL as well as able, gifted, and talented learners.

I hold the National Award for SEN Coordination award and continue to develop a specialised understanding of the cognitive and brain processes involved in learning with a particular interest in working memory.

Hello, I’m Ashley...

Bio

Throughout my life, I have been fortunate enough to have had some amazing teachers - some of whom became my mentors during teacher training. I wanted to be that person for others.

Born in Canada, I attended university and completed my initial teacher training there.  I achieved my QTS (UK qualification) shortly after moving to the UK in 2009.

I am qualified to teach EYFS to KS3 and have experience in all areas, working with pupils with SEND and gifted and talented learners. I am currently working towards the National Award for SEN Coordination and have a keen interest in mathematics and working memory.

Hardworking in nature and passionate about ensuring all my pupils make good progress from their starting points. I have been assessed as having a thorough understanding of my subject areas and accurate assessment data in recent local authority and HMI inspections.

I love teaching and working with children, in particular, celebrating their achievements. Every child can succeed - you just need to present the information in a way that works for them.
