English
From the basics of reading, writing and spelling to comprehension and creative writing skills, a personalised Tutorian English programme develops the key skills that allow the learner to read and write fluently, confidently and with enjoyment.
11+
Individual learning plans created to extend core skills in maths and English, and focus on verbal reasoning, non-verbal reasoning, writing composition, reading comprehension, punctuation, spelling and grammar. Regular, age appropriate 11+ Assessments will provide on-going targets to inform the work planned for your child. In Year 5 we strongly recommend that students study for 2 hours a week. This enables session one to focus on exam preparation using conventional, paper-based practice papers whilst session two will continue to focus on the delivery of specific tutoring in the areas identified for development and extension.
Maths
A personalised Tutorian Maths programme is designed to equip your child with the fundamental skills required for success in Mathematics. Using a range of resources, it covers all the essential areas of the school curriculum with a maths mastery approach.
SEN support
Bespoke support for children with a diagnosis of, or with possible: autism, ADHD, ADD, dyslexia or other special educational needs. To boost academic performance in reading, writing phonics and maths, communication, speech and language skills, social skills behaviour and emotional-regulation support as well as study-skills and organisation-skills support. To build confidence and self esteem and increase independence.
